Truly, TLH was distinctive and united generations with hymns and tunes that are uniquely Lutheran. I hope LCMS moves back to TLH some day and rediscover the rich and treasured heritage it has tried to jettison. It can do so one congregation and one household at a time at a time. Blue cover or red, the 1941 edition is a true jewel if you are Lutheran.
